GURGAON: A day after the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station — and the subsequent arrest of a medical professor linked to a cache of 2,900kg of explosives and arms in Faridabad — the official website of Al-Falah University, where Muzamil Shakeel is employed, was allegedly hacked on Tuesday evening.

The group behind the breach, identifying itself as the Indian Cyber Alliance, defaced the website with a message condemning what it termed as “radical Islamic activities.” The hackers also issued a warning to the university, stating that institutions indulging in “anti-national” behaviour would not be tolerated in India.

The message further advised individuals seeking to promote extremist ideologies to “leave the country and move to Pakistan.”

The university’s website was later restored, and officials have yet to issue a statement regarding the cyberattack.
