LONDON: A 49-year-old man was killed and two others — a father and his teenage son — were injured in a stabbing incident in west London on Monday evening. Police have arrested a 22-year-old Afghan asylum seeker on suspicion of murder.

Officers were called to Midhurst Gardens in Uxbridge around 5 p.m. after reports of multiple stabbings. The victim, believed to have been walking his dog and passing by the scene during a dispute, was pronounced dead at the site.

A 45-year-old man sustained life-changing injuries, while his 14-year-old son suffered non-life-threatening wounds, police said.

The suspect was tasered and taken into custody at the scene. According to the Home Office, the man had entered the UK illegally in 2020 via a lorry and was later granted asylum in 2022. Authorities confirmed that the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall described the stabbing as “a shocking and senseless act of violence,” and urged the public to avoid circulating videos or images of the attack online while the investigation continues.
