NEW DELHI: Security forces on Monday foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, killing two terrorists in the process.
Army personnel opened fire after detecting suspicious movement near the Machil and Dudniyal sectors, officials said.
“Two terrorists have been eliminated along the Line of Control in Kupwara. Search operations are in progress,” the Indian Army stated.
The operation, which remains underway, is part of the Army’s continued efforts to prevent cross-border infiltration in the region.
