BULANDSHAHR: A tragic incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district early on Monday, resulting in the deaths of at least eight individuals and injuries to 43 others when a truck collided with a tractor-trolley transporting pilgrims, according to police reports. The collision took place at approximately 2:10 am on the Bulandshahr-Aligarh border near the Arnia bypass, as a canter truck struck the tractor-trolley from behind, leading to its overturning, stated senior superintendent of police (Rural) Dinesh Kumar Singh. “The tractor-trolley was carrying 61 passengers who were en route from Rafatpur village in the Kasganj district to Jaharpeer in Rajasthan for a pilgrimage,” Singh explained. He further mentioned that the victims were promptly taken to various hospitals, including a private medical facility. “Eight individuals have succumbed to their injuries, while 43 others are receiving medical care. Among the injured, three are currently on ventilator support,” Singh added.
