NEW DELHI: A gruesome crime unfolded in south Delhi’s Satbari Khark village on Wednesday, where a couple and their elder son were found murdered inside their home. Police said their throats had been slit with knives and their heads smashed with bricks.

The victims were identified as Prem Singh (45), his wife Rajani (40), and their son Ritik (24). Their younger son, Siddharth (22), is missing and has emerged as the prime suspect.

The police received a PCR call from a passerby who noticed the gate ajar and blood inside the house. Officers rushed to the spot and discovered two bodies on the ground floor and another on the first floor. Forensic teams secured the area, collected evidence, and sent the bodies for post-mortem.

According to investigators, Siddharth had allegedly confessed to an acquaintance that he had “killed his family” and would not stay there anymore. Locals told police he had been under psychiatric treatment for over a decade. Documents and medication recovered from the house revealed he was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder and had shown aggressive tendencies.

Prem Singh worked in the private sector, while Rajani was a homemaker. Police are still piecing together the sequence of events, awaiting autopsy results to confirm the exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
