PATNA — The bodies of two children were recovered from a parked car in Patna’s Indrapuri area on Friday evening, police said.
“Police received information that a boy and a girl were found inside a car in Indrapuri. Officials rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. Their identities are yet to be ascertained,” said Patna (Central) SP Diksha, adding that the cause of death will be confirmed after post-mortem.
According to officials, the girl was about nine years old and the boy around five. Police said that when the team arrived, one child was still alive and was rushed to hospital but later succumbed.
Law and Order DSP Muhibullah Ansari said an investigation is underway to identify the vehicle’s owner and establish the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
