Krishnagiri: Fifteen people, including the driver, were injured on Sunday morning when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus fell into a roadside pit near Rajan Nagar in Erode district.
The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. According to Bhavanisagar police, the driver, identified as Prakash (34) from Sathyamangalam, reportedly felt dizzy and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to topple into a roadside pit.
The bus was en route to Sathyamangalam from Kothamangalam via Bannari with 14 passengers on board. All sustained minor injuries.
Police responded promptly and shifted the injured to the government hospital in Sathyamangalam. While the passengers were discharged after treatment, the driver remains under medical observation.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
