NEW DELHI: A major fire erupted in a residential building in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area during the early hours of Thursday, gutting several vehicles parked on the premises.
According to the Fire Department, the blaze originated among household items and quickly spread to the stilt parking area, where it engulfed multiple cars. The building comprises four residential floors above a stilt-level parking area.
Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot after authorities received an emergency alert early in the morning. Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control, and officials confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
