YAVATMAL: A tragic industrial accident claimed the lives of three workers and left two others injured when a large steel storage container for pulses collapsed at a processing mill in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district, police confirmed on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at the Manorma Jain Dal Mill, located within the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Yavatmal.
According to police, the massive storage unit suddenly gave way, crashing down on five labourers working nearby. Three workers died on the spot due to the impact, while two others sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Authorities identified two of the deceased as residents of Madhya Pradesh, while the third victim was from Wardha district in Maharashtra.
