Bhopal: A 12-year-old girl in Gwalior has been accused of killing a 4-year-old boy, leaving police shocked and disturbed due to the lack of any apparent motive behind the crime.
Bizarre Confession & Investigation Tactics
At one point, the girl claimed to be possessed by evil spirits, which complicated the investigation. In an unusual move, a female officer pretended to be possessed by a deity, leading to the girl’s eventual confession. She later guided the police to the victim’s body, which was buried in a pit at a construction site.
Victim Reported Missing
The victim, Devraj Vanshkar, was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon by his parents. His mother, who was working nearby, realized that he had suddenly disappeared. After a frantic search, the parents filed a complaint with the police.
CCTV Footage & Changing Statements
Investigators analyzed CCTV footage, which showed Devraj walking with the 12-year-old girl. Upon questioning, she initially claimed that they had parted ways after some time. However, police noticed inconsistencies in her statements, which kept changing, raising suspicions.
Psychological Evaluation Planned
The shocking nature of the crime has raised serious concerns about the girl’s mental state. Authorities have stated that she will be counseled by an expert to assess her psychological condition.
