A tragic accident occurred at CSIBER Chowk in Kolhapur on Monday, leaving four people dead, including a 72-year-old retired pro-VC of Shivaji University. Vasant Chavan’s speeding car collided with five motorcycles at around 2:30 p.m., as shown in CCTV footage. The footage captured the moment Chavan’s car suddenly accelerated, hitting the motorcycles and sending the riders flying. The car then smashed into a concrete structure and overturned, resulting in Chavan’s instant death.
