Russia’s seaborne oil product exports fell in April by 5% month-on-month on a daily basis, data from industry sources and Reuters calculations showed.
Volumes decreased to 11.383 million tonnes from 12.374 million in March.
April oil product exports from Russian ports fell ahead of seasonal refineries maintenance and rising domestic demand, traders said.
“In March, Russian oil products exports were near record levels, and the decline in April loadings was relatively small, since some refineries shifted maintenance to May”, trader said.
The idle primary oil refining capacity in April were estimated at 2.476 million tonnes versus 1.374 tonnes in March, industry sources said and Reuters calculations showed.
According to data obtained from market sources, oil product exports via Russian Black Sea and Azov Sea ports fell by 9% last month to 4.48 million tonnes from 5.09 million in March.
Russian exports of fuel via the Baltic ports of Primorsk, Vysotsk, St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga decreased by 1.5% in April on a daily basis to 6.1 million tonnes from 6.4 million tonnes.
Russia’s Far East ports increased oil products export loadings last month by 0.5% on a daily basis to 743,800 tonnes from 765,000 tonnes in March, data from sources and Reuters calculations showed.
