There is a saying which reads, “A bend in the road is not the end of the road….unless you fail to make the turn”.

Our life is a store of different experiences that take place-some are positive,
some are negative while others teach us something. These experiences shape our behavior and attitude for future actions, in other words, they shape us. But many a time some past experiences, mostly negative, build a home in our minds, nudging us every now and then. Actually, we ourselves construct the walls of these homes because we are not prepared to
get away with the thought of these memories. The question that arises here is, What does this achieve?’ and the answer stands right next saying, ‘Nothing’. The negative memories will revolve around you and block your way towards bigger and brighter things if you stick to them. Your thoughts will shatter with despair if you pile up negativity just like a balloon that
explodes if filled out of capacity.

Having known that the past is a history, it is also essential for us to understand and accept that nothing can be undone and there is no turning back, however, the way we choose to face the suffering is up to us. You either turn the page or close the book. You get yourself ready for the new chapters if you turn the page and if you close the book, you change the story.

The strongest weapon to deal with past negative experiences is the skill
to choose positive thoughts over another. This is also for the people you
surround yourself with. Choose people who value you, nourish you, and help your growth. Out of all the air in the environment, a minute amount passes through us, and that, if polluted affects our health. Similarly, the thoughts we infuse and the people around us have an impact on us.

For a healthy mind, you do not just need healthy thoughts but positive people as well. In the fast pace of life, it is always better to treasure precious daily moments and try to remember the sensations they produce. When your mind and heart are happy, they send positive impulses to your body parts that generate positive energy. Happiness comes to those who take life day by day, embrace the present moment, complain very little, and are thankful for little things because you will be astonished to know the number of days you have lived so far, and the days left are also not much.

William James quotes that, ‘you have the ability to decide what you think,
or, you can choose NOT to think’. Hence, if you change your mind you
change your life.
